So, this is the international "Say hello"-thread to all fans or interested people from other countries.
Sorry, my english is ... (better, we don't talk about it! )

If you are interested in Grobschnitt or some things around them, tell us your question in english and we'll do our best to help you.

For example, here are fans from Kanada, Isle of Man, Netherlands or other foreign countries and we would enjoy to welcome you in the world of "Grobschnitt".

So, let's talk, "that the camels are breaking together"! (This is an old german proverb! )

I think this is a fantastic idea and I would love to help answering questions. I"m a member of "Facebook" which has a group for GS and I became "Friends" with two of their members from Turkey that don"t speak German.
I will direct them to this site and if they have any questions I"m sure most of us can help them, including the band!!!

But I do see one problem for the English speaking fans and that is the sign up. It's in German. Maybe we can figure something out there!!!

as you told me you gave a "certain something" from my good old friend Barclay McMillan of Ottawa to Rolf Möller when you were here in Germany. Rolf never has contacted me in this case and didn't make any efforts to pass it on. Meanwhile I'm getting rather curious...

Sorry, I forgot the turkish people in my opening words. Irmi told me something about a friendly turkish guy, she met in Herzberg. He traveled to Germany just for this concert and I think it's a "long way to the top!"

Well, as I see, Eroc's Website provides an English section as well as a German part - but I'm afraid, the actual site of the band itself only can be read with deeper knowledge of the German language! Perhaps we schould think abot internationalizing the page!?
And how about a direct link to this thread on the websites mentioned above?

I think it would be a wise idea to do both.
Grobschnitt has a lot of International Followers. As mentioned before, on Facebook, there's a Group dedicated to GS.

It would certainly be good to have a "Only English" thread here, but as said, people will have a hard time to "Sign up" for this forum since the sign up is only available in German!!!

His name is Mert You're right, he's very nice and he has been so happy to meet Grobschnitt and German Grobschnitt fans

Ich habe wiedermal eine mail von dem jungen Mert aus der Türkei erhalten und soll euch alle ganz herzlich von ihm grüßen! ( Für alle Neuen: Mert ist 33, hatte von einem Kumpel in Istanbul deutsche Krautrock-LP's gekauft und war von RPL so begeistert gewesen, dass er seinen Urlaub und seine Ersparnisse geopfert hatte und 2000 km aus Istanbul angereist war, nur um Grobschnitt auf dem Herzberg zu erleben. ) Er arbeitet ja in einer Bank in Istanbul, und da auch dort die Krise nicht vorbeigegangen ist, wird er in wenigen Wochen seinen Job verlieren. Dies bedeutet, dass er es in der nächsten Zeit schon aus finanziellen Gründen nicht schaffen wird, wieder nach Deutschland zu einem Grobschnitt-Konzert zu kommen, was ihn natürlich sehr traurig stimmt. Sein Besuch auf dem Herzberg hat ihn so tief beeindruckt, dass er anschließend eine eigene Band gegründet hat, und er wäre herzlich gern mal wieder hier dabei.
Ein Foto seiner eigenen musikalischen Aktivität hat er für uns mitgeschickt.

@ Irmi: wenn Mert vieleicht die Möglichkeit hat eine türkische Spedition zu fragen ob es eine Mitfahrgelegenheit im Juni nach Deutschland gibt könnte er in Dortmund dabeisein. Dann sollte er auch gleich noch wegen der Rückfahrt fragen. Wir würden ihn doch sicherlich bei jemanden unterbringen, oder? Wäre vieleicht eine Möglichkeit für ihn Grobschnitt wieder Live zu erleben.
War nur so eine Idee von mir, wäre schön wens klappt!

I think it's time to remember this thread!
Possibly there are some new people in this forum from foreign countrys who visited the last fantastic Grobschnitt-Night in Hagen last sunday!
At first I'd like to greet Andy from Canada who supported us in the Stadttheater in Hagen at his first Grobschnitt-Experience with our buddy Kirsten. What a nice surprise!

Hello to all international Users and Fans of Grobschnitt. Nice to have you here on the platform. As you probably know there was the first gig (ever) together with someone classical Orchestra ( in this case the symphonic orchestra of Hagen) to perform the grandios Rockpommel´s Land. To those of them who have been there at the premiere performance at 3 th of june 2012, we´ll hope to you you´d enjoyed it. As you probably know, this kind of performance will take place from now on 3 times at the Theatre of Hagen (on 15th, 16th, and 23 th of June). It will be all (at every date) very special and convieniant performances of Grobschnitt. For a Band Member (I would expect) and Fan (as I am) in the periode long ago in the past, this wasn´t be planned and considered as normal and couldn´t be taken for granted. It is something extraordinary in the bands history. A great thank you for all of the lads who´ll visit the forthcoming perfomances of the band together with the Hagen symphonic orchestra. These happenings will be something special and unconvienient moments. Enjoy it, and remember the special things which will take place.
